First responder experience (firefighter, EMT, police) or having used Active911 is a plus.
• Spend 75% of available time on development tickets.

• Maintain documentation of the product, including domain model and API interface.

Qualifications:
• College degree or comparable work experience
• 3+ years of experience
• Portfolio of work in a broad range of programming languages, databases, and various
technologies.
• Full stack development experience.
• Knowledge of MySQL; Cassandra a plus.
• Knowledge of Docker, Git, and Linux a plus.
• Willingness to be “on–call”.

Guide product development to give our heroes the best-in-class tools they need to save lives.
Job Summary:
As a Product Owner, you will champion your product, own its backlog, and prioritize your team’s efforts to align with business strategy. You will monitor key metrics, adjust priorities, and provide updates on progress, performance, and outcomes. Maintaining a steady workflow for continuous value delivery, you will facilitate cross-functional teamwork and clear roadblocks for your team. Understanding market trends and customer needs through research and analysis, you will gather and interpret feedback to convert insights into valuable product features. You will define and deliver a product strategy and roadmap that aligns with our business objectives and meets customer needs. Strong attention to detail, time management, analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, customer-focused decision-making, leadership, and adaptability are essential for this role.
Metrics:
The Product Owner is held accountable through tracking of the following metrics, with each product team having unique thresholds to determine success.
- Daily Active Users
- Net Revenue Retention (NRR)
- Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR)
- Net Promotor Score (NPS) Rating
- Average Weekly Defect Count
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Champion the product.
- Own the product backlog and prioritize team effort to ensure alignment with the overall business strategy.
- Monitor key product metrics and adjust backlog priorities accordingly.
- Provide ongoing and weekly updates on backlog progress, team performance, key product milestones, and achievement of goals.
- Maintain a steady and efficient workflow for the product team to ensure a continuous delivery of value.
- Facilitate strong cross-functional teamwork and assist in clearing roadblocks.
- Understand the product market, trends, and customer needs by conducting user research and strategic analysis within the competitive landscape.
- Gather input and feedback from stakeholders and customers. Interpret those insights and convert them into tangible product features.
- Conduct thorough reviews and testing of new product features to guarantee best-in-class quality and optimal usability before release into production.
- Define and deliver a product strategy and roadmap on a quarterly basis that aligns your product goals with business objectives and customer needs, ensuring coordination and collaboration with engineering, design, or other key stakeholders.

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 3+ years of experience in product management or an equivalent role.
- Preferred experience as a first responder (Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, or Search and
Rescue services) or experience in managing the design and development of public safety, emergency response, or mission-critical applications. - Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Kanban, and backlog management.
- Technical comprehension of Software as a Service (Saas) and cloud-based platforms.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Comfortable working in an office setting.
- Availability for on-call duties in the case of an outage that may include some evenings,
weekends, and holidays. - Willingness to travel up to 5% annually.
